100% Cotton, Made in IndiaRead More
This fine cotton scarf is an exceptional piece of craftsmanship. Made in collaboration with Stòffa, they were created by printing or dyeing directly with different concentrations of naturally occurring alizarin dye and boiling in a mordant solution made of dried tamarind and alum which help fasten the color. The black outlines are achieved using a dye - syahi, that is prepared with fermented mixture of jaggery, iron horse shoes and tamarind powder. The original ecru base shade is achieved from a local powdered fruit harda, which also acts as the mordant. Produced in extremely limited numbers, no two are identical.
